Title IX issues basically dictated that the program not be


terminated on such short notice. Whit took a gamble on Sung and it has resulted in immediate success. Hopefully it continues.

Starting a new sport from scratch is always expensive, particularly if additional facilities are required. In this case the base was there including the recruiting area and no additional facilities were required. It also helps that Tech has a large alumni and fan base in NOVA, Maryland, Pa, and NJ for recruiting.
